🎉 JUNE UPDATE: BEOF in Full Swing! ☀️
Better late than never, right? 😅 It’s been a busy month and an even busier summer here at BEOF — and while we’ve been running full speed ahead, we didn’t want to miss the chance to share what we’ve been up to!

🍔 Senior Nutrition Sites Are Sizzling!
June brought the heat — and we matched it with summer grill-outs and good vibes at our Senior Nutrition Sites!
We hosted a BBQ and cookout, bringing together our seniors for some fun in the sun — complete with delicious food, great company, and community spirit. A big thank you to our friends at United Healthcare Medicare who came out to share valuable information and resources tailored to our senior community.
And with added support and presentations from the Act Now Foundation, BOTH our nutrition sites have been full of activity, wellness, and connection all month long! 😎
🥂 BEOF in the Community
Our team stayed busy showing up and supporting local events throughout Hudson County!
✨ We had the pleasure of attending the Mo’Hair Foundation’s Annual Gala at the stunning Liberty House — a powerful evening of celebration and purpose.
💨 Our Executive Director, Anthony Segarra, also enjoyed a great night at the Bayonne Chapter of UNICO’s Smoke, Sip & Swirl Cigar Cocktail Party, which brought together community leaders and supporters for a fantastic cause.
🎓 Head Start Summer Recruitment Success!
Our incredible Head Start team hosted a jam-packed Recruitment Day right at our Bayonne site — and it was a hit!
Families stopped by to learn about our program offerings, meet the staff, and enjoy FREE sandwiches courtesy of Jersey Mike’s in Bayonne (thank you!). It was a day of learning, laughter, and building connections with families from across the community.

💰 Financial Empowerment in Action
June also featured another strong moment for BEOF’s Financial Empowerment Program!
We teamed up once again with our friends at BCB Bank to host a Credit Repair Seminar, led by guest speaker David Sacci of BCB. Community members walked away with practical tools, insights, and a clearer path toward financial wellness.
