Bayonne Economic Opportunity Foundation’s annual “Say Yes to Literacy” camp is a two-week program held every summer for children ages 5-12, currently in its fifth year. This summer, we plan to once again incorporate environmental topics into the program, such as recycling, environmental preservation, and understanding your carbon footprint. Our camp educators design the camp by incorporating literacy into everyday life while focusing on comprehension, fluency, and vocabulary skills. The objective of BEOF’s “Say Yes to Literacy” camp is to promote childhood literacy through family participation. The camp helps children retain and gain literacy during the summer break when academic gains are often lost. We are committed to helping Bayonne students get ahead during the summer months and avoid the summer learning gap through fun and educational literacy activities designed to excite and engage them.
If you would like more information on BEOF’s “Say Yes to Literacy” camp or are interested in enrolling your child, please call BEOF headquarters Monday through Friday, 8:30AM to 3:30PM, at (201) 437-7222.
