Can You Ever Forgive Me?

Mayor Jimmy Davis announced that the Bayonne Public Library is showing ‘Can You Ever Forgive Me?’ in its summer afternoon film series on Wednesday, July 10, at 1:00 p.m., in the O’Connor Gallery on the second floor of the library. The building is located at 31st street and Avenue C.
The films to be presented include recent movies intended for adults, plus a selection of children’s’ movies that are not just for kids! The films intended primarily for children will be shown on July 31st and throughout the month of August. Youngsters attending the children’s films must be accompanied by an adult. No children will be admitted for the adult selections.
‘Can You Ever Forgive Me?’ (rated R) is a biographical film based on the book of the same name by Forger Lee Israel. Starring Melissa McCarthy and Richard E. Grant in Academy Award-nominated roles as Israel and drug dealer Jack Hock, respectively, the movie follows Israel as she forges letters from dead authors and playwrights as a way to enhance her failing writing career.
